Reading Expeditions
IAF Reading Expeditions are a great opportunity for international volunteers to teach children in Zimbabwe proficiency reading. IAF Reading Expeditions are packed with physical challenges and eye-opening cultural exchanges in some of the Southern Africa's most beautiful countries, these exhilarating reading expeditions are also journeys of self discovery that offer the experience of a lifetime. These sessions aim to reduce literacy problems by providing intensive one-on-one specialist literacy teaching support for early-years children.
Our reading expeditions offer transformational journeys for international Volunteers from a teaching background and education related backgrounds. Zimbabwe possesses awe-inspiring landscapes as diverse as Victoria Falls, Eastern Highlands, Kariba and Great Zimbabwe as well as a wealth of different cultures that sit alongside some of the most unrivalled wildlife in the world.
School Holiday Reading Camps
This is a school holiday experience-offering children with reading difficulties an opportunity to advance and improve their reading skills! Students are guided through skills in the areas of phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension, providing these students high quality reading instruction in order for them to achieve the goal of reading on grade level. In addition, to Reading Classes go on adventure activities to encourage them to return the following school breaks.
